Section 20. Salary, allowances payable to and term of office.(1) The salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members shall be such as may be prescribed, and shall not be varied to their disadvantage after their appointment. (2) The Chairperson and other Members shall hold office for a term of two years and shall be eligible for re-appointment.

“(a) the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette as the date on which the provisions of sub-section (2) of section 1, section 2, sections 18 to 26 sections 35, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, and sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 44 of the said Act shall come into force;”
