With the prior approval of the Central Government, the Board may appoint whatever officers and employees it considers necessary to discharge its functions under the Act efficiently. The terms and conditions of service for those officers and employees are the ones specified in the Sixth Schedule.

Rule 21. Terms and conditions of appointment and service of officers and employees of Board.(1) The Board may, with previous approval of the Central Government, appoint such officers and employees as it may deem necessary for the efficient discharge of its functions under the provisions of the Act. (2) The terms and conditions of service of officers and employees of the Board shall be such as are specified in Sixth Schedule.

“Rules 1, 2 and 17 to 21 shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.”
